Which Documents Do I Need?

While it is not essential that you have all of the following documents, having as many as possible will assist the handling of your Lemon Law claim.
1. The Sales Agreement. This form is often pink, and details the purchase price of the vehicle.
2. The Financing Agreement. This form sets forth the amount of financing and the monthly payments.
3. The Repair Orders or Invoices. These docs detail the reported problems with the vehicle and offer proof that you gave the manufacturer reasonable opportunities to make repairs.
4. A copy of your warranty booklet.
5. A copy of your Title and Registration.
6. A copy of the Window Sticker
Quick Lemon Tips:
- Always research a vehicle before buying it.
- If your vehicle is defective, notify the dealer promptly.
- Make sure your Complaints are written down in your words by the dealer.
- Be sure to get a copy of the written Repair Order/Invoice for each dealer service attempt.
