Not all states lemon laws cover Recreational Vehicles (RV's), but that does not mean that you cannot bring a claim if you purchase a defective RV. There is a federal lemon law that lemon attorneys use most frequently in cases where the state lemon law does not afford protection and it is called the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. This federal lemon law provides that you are entitled to a refund of the purchase price, a free replacement product or cash compensation if the manufacturer of your RV cannot fix any substantial defects after being given a reasonable opportunity to do so. The Federal Lemon Law also provides that the manufacturer of your lemon RV must pay for your reasonable attorney fees in the event that they cannot comply with the lemon statute.
